Pioneering Innovations that are sure to impress.

Shively Acoustics enters into partnerships with the world’s leaders in Computer Simulation and DSP Audio. The focus is to bring in state of the art technology for the improvement of component- and system-level design and development in order to elevate the level of audio quality above all others in the audio and automotive industries.

 Audible multidisciplinary simulation solutions

A noise-optimized atmosphere and melodious music can greatly contribute to a much more pleasant experience while behind the wheel. In order to achieve an outstanding sound experience, every car requires a tailored-made solution. Optimal surround sound in a car can only be achieved if an audio system is developed that is carefully tailored to the specific conditions of each automobile model: the number, size, and position of the loudspeakers must be defined and optimized. The individual system component design is done together, for the best overall system design. Computer simulations use the vehicle data to define both the multi-physical parameters and ideal positions for each of the loudspeakers in the system for a full system optimization.

We provide virtual acoustics and sound design as well as expertise in the modeling of simulation processes. The guiding principle is to virtually optimize the acoustic performance of products and systems in the early product development phase, with results from the concept phase being audible. Multidisciplinary simulation solutions combine a digital physics approach with auralization.

This provides a growing multidisciplinary simulation for safe analysis and enables a continuous evaluation and improvement of products and systems throughout the complete development process, while at the same time validating acoustic properties.

Companies benefit in that they can already make optimal design decisions on the virtual model, consequently shortening development cycles as well as reducing project risks and costs.

Shively Acoustics collaborates with car manufacturers and suppliers all around the world in the area of multidisciplinary simulations.
